Sooner (sooner I think) or later its not going to make any difference weather or not the firmware is updated when you buy a game. If the 1.5 firmware really has been cracked then it is only a matter of time till you can run patched psp isos straight off your 1g memory card. The people who want the psp for "homebrew" will stop buying games straight away. You only have to look around on bit torrent sites, psp isos can be found on on many of them already. + Battery life could well be more than doubled running games off of a solid state media too! |

Genius, pure genius. How else would sony stop the emulators and hacks than to make you update? if you want to play their games you have to stop playing emulators. I guess it's sonys way of forcing you to update, and all I can say is genius.[addsig]

I know i mentioned that they will probably force firmware updates to play games like months ago ven before they announced it but yes it is a very good move by sony.
In fact many people have already bought 2 PSPs in order to play games and homebrew. That is rediculous. Your gonna spend 250 bucks on a machine so you can play retro games in the go? And eventually your gonna pop in a game that will auto-update your PSP.[addsig] |
