I got a "similar" problem with my PSP that I just can't figure out.

It seems that I can only load 2 different videos that I have converted on my PSP at one time. I am using a 1g Sony Duo Pro card and notice that no matter the size of the 2 videos, whether it be 100mb or 500mb, it doesn't let me put more than 2 at a time then all the others say corrupt.

I've reformatted and I've unloaded and loaded videos to see if they are actually "corrupt", but as long as they are one of the 2 loaded on there, they will play fine - but anything more than that ... no go.

It is frustrating that I can't seem to figure this out on how to fix it. I'm hoping some of you here will be able to help me out to remedy this situation.

I am currently running the 2.60 firmware on my PSP.

Any input would be GREATLY appreciated.[addsig]

hello! does it have to be m4v and should always start with 1? i do have the same problem i.e., only 1 vid out of the set is working and the others are all corrupt. i do have it in sequence i.e., e001, e002. problem is they are episodes and they are continuous for all the seasons (seasons 1-5 episodes 1-xxx). if i load season 2 - should i rename them all again as mv4001 onwards? i have a 3.03 fw and 4gb stick. thanks in advance.[addsig]

YES!

That worked like a dream for me, thanks very much Superskull85.

It seems as if, for folders over 1Gig, you have to have the MP4 files all consecutively numbered from M4V00001 onwards, and then transferred to the PSP individually and in numerical order. If I do that, I can have a 2Gig MSDuo full of movies and video clips that all play perfectly.

Any other way of transferring doesn't work past the 1Gig limit.

The easiest way to achieve this transfer method is to have a temporary folder in my PC to which I copy each MP4 file and thumbnail in turn, then rename each to the numerical sequence, and then transfer to PSP. That way, I keep the original filenames of the MP4 for archiving in my PC but I can rename them for PSP transfer in the temp folder.

Thanks very much!

This is a superb community, I appreciate your help.

it did not work for me. i have 90+Mb 30-minute episodes. i did rename them m4v00001 and m4v00002. transfered them one by one to my psp and still 1 is corrupted. i used apollo dvd2psp converter with those. i tried a trial ver. of xilisoft psp video converter 3 - i am limited to 5 minutes each, 18Mb each 5-minute episode and they worked. i do not understand - 90Mb+90Mb is not over 1Gb but only one played! please help. thanks.[addsig]
