Is anyone getting the extended warranty for their PSP?

This is very true. The PSP isn't the most sturdy thing in the world and costs a lot of money for what it is. It's a good investment, although the companies will still make huge profits off of it.[addsig]

yup, I -say fork over the dough and get it... I was gonna get lumines, but once the clerk asked about the waranty for the psp (29.99 at gamestop) I dropped lumines and got that. Sony has the worst dead pixel replacement program.. 13 dead-pixels warrants you a replacement.. thats bull. I love my PSP tho =D[addsig]

I got the warranty. It's handheld. It's going to get some dings. So...why not something so I can fix 'er up, eh?[addsig]

Ended up buying my PSP from the Sony Style store, so I've got the "official" extended warranty. 2 year replacement warranty for $30.[addsig]

I picked up the warranty at GameStop, too. Just knowing that in early March of 2006, if the mechanics are less than perfect, I can swap it out. The really cool thing about it is that the guy at GameStop told me the warranty covers battery life too. If the battery doesn't charge the way it should, I just bring it in and - BAM! Replacement.[addsig]

I'm not. I figured when a year has passed, I will have upgraded to the new PSP. I've read talk of December or next year they'll have one with a Hard Drive and lots of other new features.[addsig]
