No, it means that if you ever are found with a firearm, you would be considered dangerous because of your shady gaming background. FPS are nothing other than gunman training tools don't you know?

In that case because I play Burnout a lot I'll have a lifetime driving ban, and I've not even learnt to drive![addsig]

Oh, now there's proof that owning a game makes you bad - did anyone ever check to see if he had ever played the game? Or whether that individual had prior traffic infringements which may have taken place before the game was even released? What an asinine assumption - just because someone owns a firearm, does that mean that they are a killer waiting to be unleashed?

A study (whose results have been mysteriously been ignored by certain interest groups) found that individuals who played computer games (in general if I remember correctly, even though it was mentioned that some of the sample played 'violent' games such as CS) were more emotionally balanced than those who did not have a hobby that they enjoy. Computer games are a way of kicking back and enjoying your free time, like swimming or clay-pidgeon shooting.
About GTA, I really don't know much about it either, I just heard it from somewhere. Have you heard that 96.7% of all statistics are false? It's true. I'm actually a person who hates statistics and never follows them, but I was thinking others would. I agree with you though. You have a great point.[addsig]

I don't believe that it's the games that cause people to commit crimes. It's just that some people are twisted and think that it's real!

Like the Virginia Tech shooting. The guy played Counter Strike. Yet, another guy in the UK played the same game, and tried to prevent and armed robber escaping with some money at a train station. In the end he got shot because of it! (He survived though).

It's not the game... It's the people that play them...

P.S. Higgyboy13, please put "url" and "/url" around your links.
e.g. "url"http://www.psp-vault.com/"/url" (Replace the speech marks, " " with [ ].).
Or highlight the link when editing your post and click the URL button below the text field.

It's the people, and how their mind works. I admit that they might not shoot people etc. if they weren't introduced to GTA etc, but most of us wouldnt think of going on a killing spree after a GTA session.[addsig]

So are you saying that the enviroment is not a factor here? If you live in a voilent neighbourhood then you adapt to it...

All this stuff with violence and video games always makes me ask one question...a game is banned and that is fine, yet horror movies are allowed and some of those can be gorier than the games they complain about. OK, you kinda direct what is happening around you, but movies could "inspire" someone as well.[addsig]
