I'll buy the PS3, the XBox 360 and the Revolution. I don't care what it costs. I own *every* machine except the Intellivision, the Vectrex and the Coleco Adam, and I'll get those too. Sad? Yes. Pathetic? Yeah. I own all the others. Booyah! Ha! Ha![addsig]

I am concerning about the software price (specially Blu-Ray PS3 games). You know, the hardware is only pay one time but the software..... Maybe the Blu-Ray games will be more expensive than the hardware.[addsig]

Seriously tsowaiman, the way games are now a days i think that will be the most expensive after buying the system of course. I'd pay 300-500 but i hope xbox keeps them honest and not too greedy. Is online still going to be free or is it too early to be talking about that. Hopefully the system releases in the 300 dollar range like all the others.[addsig]

I wouldn't pay more than $300. You think about it you're gunna get a couple games. That's another $100-200, plus you probably gunna want a second controller, easily another $50. Plus whatever other assesories...it all adds up. I think (and hope) they should stay faithful to there opening price of $300.[addsig]

I'd rather they just send me one in the mail for being a loyal customer all these years and handing over literally thousands of dollars to them.[addsig]

Over in the official PS3 thread it was stated by ing.com that the PS3 will release for $465. A lot more than expected but we can probably throw that up to the system being over a year away. I dont know, the technology thats being put into the PS3 seems to be pretty fresh technology. Maybe as the year goes by prices for the newer technology i.e. bluetooth will go down. Then agian we could all be in for a shock.[addsig]

Technology improves and the price goes up. Everyone asks for more, but doesn't want to cough up the smack to pay for it. Your looking to spend about $700 by the time you have everything. Which is fine, that's what I usually set aside for a launch system.

Also, the system usually runs cheaper in the USA, sence Americans are cheap basterds (I'm an American). Sence the system is going to be "less then" 50,000 yen, I think it's safe to say it will be around $400 here.

So $400, is that to much? No, it's not.

You just payed $250 for a handheld guys! You've given them reason to think that they can charge more for the PS3 then PS2, and rightfully so. We shouldn't complain that the price is going to be $400, we should thank god that it's as cheap as $400.

The technology in the PS3, and Xbox 360 is better then ANY computer on the market now. You can't just go to the store and expect to get the best computer on the market for a mere $400!

400 System + 60x games + 40y controllers + 50z extras= 500-1000 plus tax
x=Variabale for number of games
y=Variable for nimber of controlelrs
z=Variable for number of extras.[addsig]
