PSP2 now,later or never happening?!

the psp is just getting started. all the good stuff is starting to come out. there wont be another one for a couple of years[addsig]

on a completely random note, when PSP2 does come out, my hope is that they will stick with UMDs or UMD's without the plastic. (so we can burn UMDs easily) This way current PSP games/movies will work. Probably going with blue ray UMDs would be a great idea since many PSP games suffer from being very short, especially if its a good game.

I don't think that there will be a PSP 2, at least for the next couple of years. I mean, there is soo much that sony can develop with the the PSP, and it is only a matter of time until we all have firmware versions 7.0 and we can buy games from the internet to download to our memory cards. (And some clever people will have created a downgrader for any firmware). I mean, O.K, sony can't change the actuall shape or design of the PSP, but they can certainly change it's software to keep with the times. Maybe you could buy the PSP 2 over the net and download it your PSP, so that the software is PSP 2. Also, why would they be concentrating on the PSP 2 when everyone is waiting for a masterpiece PS3 with great rivalry with the XBox 360? Sony has competition on its hands, so I don't think they will be thinking of a PSP 2.

Until a serious competitor for the PSP comes around (aka, not the DS), Sony has no reason to create a 'PSP2.' There is no competition for the PSP right now, so why would they make another one?[addsig]
