Ps3 vs Wii

Id say there is no comparison, both consoles are developed for very different groups.

The Wii is for all gamers, young, teenage, old, hardcore, etc. Its a console designed for fun, yes it has a few serious games for serious gamers but overall its just for a laugh with a few mates!! Thats why most of its games are just big compilations of mini games or have young target audiences. Yes it is the lowest powered of all 3 next-gen home consoles but thats beside the point, who cares how the game looks when your the one swinging the sword (Red Steel) or aiming the bow and fishing using a Wiimote (Zelda).

As for the name of the console, who cares if i bears an audible resemblence to the french word for yes, i think its the most original name so far for a console. Makes a change to sony's abbreviations!!

The ps3 however is a console solely for serious gamers (at ?450 it isnt something you just buy for a laff!!) and is the epitemy of a home entertainment system (i dont think there is anything it doesnt have!!) the games are higher quality in terms of graphics and content but this is also reflected in the cost of the games and the console.

So i dont see how you could really make a fair comparision of two consles that are so disimilar.

I personally want both!!

well he has got a point but some people cant have 3-25 people in thier house so the wii cant relate to them but as you said the ps3 really is for people that live games and thats why I'm gettin 1 so ha![addsig]

Wii and PS3 are boh revolutionary in their own ways. The Wii has its unique control scheme and menu. The PS3 is next-gen in graphics and processing. They can't contest with each other on either of these levels.

well, the wii kills the ps3 right now for the main fact the ps3 has only one good game Resistance:Fall of man, and the wii has multiple killer apps. but the online services for both are far in superior to xbox live, so online is another shaky issue.[addsig]
