Hey guys, sorry for not getting to this thread quick enough. I've been following it a bit, and do understand the concerns. First I'd like to make sure you guys know I'm not in charge of ad placement, and am no more a fan of the advertising than you are. I have to work around it as well, but as scottman104 has said, advertisements are the only way we can pay for hosting, bandwidth, server space (File Vault), and all the background stuff. We would never take donations, so we're just doing what we can.

As far as this anonymous banner, I'm seeing it too. It's rather stupid, but it seems the various permissions we had setup before (non-members would see that, members on probation would see another, you guys would see nothing), have dropped. Once we get around to some changes this will all go away, but we're trying not to screw anything up during the holiday season. We're looking forward to a lot of new members after the holidays, looking to use their new units.

I really do apologize for the inconvenience and nonsense, but do not think this is staying for long. We will make a quick and smooth transition once we have the time and everything setup. If there was something I could personally do to make everyone happier, I'd be happy to do it. As far as removing ads and things outside the basic site, I don't have the permission to do so. I might even get in trouble. Yikes.

hey and also the only way for me to access general is to go latest posts and find one in general if i try to go to general from the side bar that pops out when you move the mouse over forums i get topic does not exist error, anyone else get that? [addsig]

By getting your attention JustEaton, I never did but what I was going to do was make a news post since you are fully engaged in the news and see everything in queue. I'm glad you will try to take care of it, but if you aren't the head of the site then who is? Z left October 14th and your signature went from "Zmcnulty's right-hand man" to "PSP-Vault Administrator". Why is this? And you're saying you won't take donations... so even if someone does donate you would refuse it? What I recommend to keep costs down is an unvisitable page with thousands of ads in a dark corner of the site. Finally the last thing since you're here, What happened to the PSP-Vault store? i wanted the mousepad. :lol: [addsig]

I'm the one who's running the site, but that doesn't mean I own it or make all the major decisions. I can be the administrator without being the sole owner of a website. A single page with millions of ads won't cover costs, because it's the views and hits on the ad pages that bring in revenue. Cool, thanks. I wonder if there is a way to make ads invisible. I still wonder how the founder of a site could still end up being member #2, but that's off topic. I'm curious, has the Cafe Press shop made any sales?[addsig]

I noticed that you didn't change the 65,000member at the top are going to wait till the members count hits 75,000 then change it. Imagine the member count stops at 99,999 and we just need one more member,but that member never comes.[addsig]
