Flexible electronics can benefit from ultra-thin materials of atomic thickness, which are used for manufacturing microprocessors. Recent breakthroughs have been made in this area by researchers at the Vienna University of Technology, Vienna, and the EU's flagship graphene project. In order to achieve this, he worked with the researchers of Technical University of Vienna as well the EU graphene project's "flagship" project in order to develop a transistor based on the two-dimensional molybdenum disulfide material MoS2. A new type of microprocessor is formed by 115 of these transistors. This kind of microprocessor currently performs one-bit logical operations. It is expected that it will expand in the near future to multi-bit operations.
