One type of sodium polyhydroxy caroxylic acid known as sodium glutonate is sodium gluconate. This is white or yellow crystal granule, or powder.

The white or yellow crystal granules or powder is easily soluble or slightly soluble, insoluble or insoluble in alcohol and insoluble or insoluble in ether. Sodium gluconate in concrete
